We'll work together through the creative, emotional, organizational, and logistical dimensions of developing and releasing your project. Along the way, I'll offer feedback, accountability, and encouragement to help you stay connected to your vision, strengthen your self-trust, and bring your work into the world.
Hannah Frances (b. 1997) is an acclaimed vocalist, avant-folk guitarist, composer, and poet that NPR calls “a stunning vocalist and songwriter, making monumental and mythic music.” She was awarded Pitchfork's Best New Music for her critically lauded 2024 album Keeper of the Shepherd and listed Best Albums of the Year from the likes of Pitchfork, Paste Magazine, NPR, and Stereogum for her 2025 album Nested in Tangles. With this distinctive body of work, Frances solidifies herself as an artist of insurgent truth. Her forthcoming record will release spring 2027—her third with Fire Talk Records.
Touring nationally and internationally, Frances moves fluidly between solo performance and expansive ensemble work. She works prolifically as a recording artist, session musician, creative mentor, educator, and interdisciplinary artist.
Since 2023, she has been offering individualized creative mentorship and group workshops including Open Tunings as Emotional Landscapes—a guitar workshop exploring open tunings as pathways to curiosity, intuitive connection, and creative freedom—Landscapes of Song—a month-long songwriting immersion aligned with the natural world—and The Wise Voice—a vocal masterclass for those seeking a more honest and embodied relationship with their authentic voice.
Frances is a sewing, astrology, tarot, herbalism, and Brazilian music enthusiast living in the woods of Vermont.
Working Together
Depending on the stage and scope of your project as well as your creative needs, our work can include:

planning and organizing recording processes, and offering feedback on demos, arrangements, mixes, and masters

developing the visual world of your project that aligns with and supports the music

clarifying your language and narrative, developing your artist bio and project statement, and articulating the story behind your work

throughout our time working together, you'll have access to ongoing support via email or text for questions, quick creative check-ins, feedback, and accountability as your project unfolds.
this might look like sharing a new demo, talking through a creative decision, getting perspective on a production question, or checking in on next steps and staying connected to your goals.
i want you to feel supported and accompanied throughout the process, not just during our scheduled time together.
please note my communication boundaries:
i can offer same-day support if it is time-sensitive, but generally will respond within 1 or 2 days if it is not time-sensitive
more extensive listening, detailed written feedback, or substantial project work can be addressed in one of our sessions

Sessions are scheduled at a pace that works for you, within the agreed container timeframe, and I offer payment plans!
