The Wise Voice is the integration of technical craft and emotional freedom through embodied singing.

Join us for a workshop where we will explore vocal technique and anatomy, interactive vocal exercises, warmup routines, vocal care and touring, embodiment while singing and playing an instrument, and philosophies and practices for somatic and spiritual voice-body connection.
This workshop is for:
both professional and aspiring vocalists
touring and recording artists
instrumentalists looking to gain confidence in their singing
those seeking to build a more honest and intimate relationship with their authentic voice
Participants will receive a Wise Voice Handbook download with resources and an archive of recorded warmups for you to access forever. The class will conclude with a Q+A.

Hannah Frances
Hannah Frances (b. 1997) is an acclaimed vocalist, avant-folk guitarist, composer, and poet that NPR calls “a stunning vocalist and songwriter, making monumental and mythic music.” She was awarded Pitchfork's Best New Music for her critically lauded 2024 album Keeper of the Shepherd and listed Best Albums of the Year from the likes of Pitchfork, Paste Magazine, NPR, and Stereogum for her 2025 album Nested in Tangles. With this distinctive body of work, Frances solidifies herself as an artist of insurgent emotional clarity, committed to personal truth and actualization.
Touring nationally and internationally, Frances moves fluidly between solo performance and expansive ensemble work. She works prolifically as a recording artist, session musician, creative counselor, educator, and interdisciplinary artist.
In 2023, she began offering Open Tunings as Emotional Landscapes, an intuitive guitar workshop exploring open tunings as pathways to curiosity, intuitive connection, and creative freedom. She expanded this work in 2026 with Landscapes of Song, an immersive songwriting workshop. Drawing from more than twenty years of formal vocal study and performance, she offers The Wise Voice—a space for those seeking a more honest and embodied relationship with their authentic voice.
When not on the road, she can be found in the woods of Vermont sewing clothes, studying herbalism, astrology and the Tarot, listening to Brazilian music, and traversing the labyrinthine paradigms of grief and joy that is being alive.

beccs is a 2025 NYFA/NYSCA Artist Fellowship Finalist and 2024 Official SXSW Artist whose music has earned recognition from KCRW's "5 Songs To Hear This Week" and NPR's Tiny Desk Contest. An alternative folk pop artist hailed by NYLON Magazine as one of their “favorite cool girls” and an “indie-pop vocalist of astonishing candor” by the HuffPost, beccs blends a playful modern pop sensibility with a powerful voice akin to classic 60’s Laurel Canyon. Her latest EP stay moist (https://ffm.to/staymoist), featuring collaborators including queer feminist icon Bitch and Oscar-nominated Ian Chang of Son Lux, charted #1 on CJSF 90.1 FM in Canada and named her one of Symphonic's 10 Top Artists To Watch in 2024. With a soul-stirring voice that is as dynamic as it is vulnerable, beccs confronts and heals audiences with music that holds up a mirror to both herself and society at large. In addition to her own artist project, she has lent her voice and songwriting to various other records and commercials, including Matchbox Twenty's Where The Light Goes, Alex Epton's (Arca, Björk, FKA Twigs) Episodic Buffer Vol. 2 EP, and Nike Japan. As an educator, beccs teaches private voice lessons virtually and in person in New York; trained at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, she integrates vocal techniques ranging from Fitzmaurice Voicework and Estill Voice Training to those of her mentors Jonathan Heart Makwaia at The Experimental Wing, Amanda Flynn, Katie Bull, and Doug Jabara. She is also faculty at the Governor's Institute of the Arts in Vermont, where she teaches songwriting and voice to high school students.
